This video is surely an alarm, a reminder for everyone what we are doing everyday are harming out own earth. Annie is right that, we won't be aware how harmful it is until we know the whole story. Especially the example of the $4.90 radio. I guess everyone like bargain and good quiality stuff, but have we ever think how can things be so cheap? Nope?! After watching the video, as a consumer and a industrial designe student myself, it reminded me alot of things as well as opened up my mind. As a consumer, we should buy what we really need rather than buying just to follow trends. Cause we buy in, we throw out, and the sufferer will only be us or our further generations. As for designers, rather than trying to deisgn stuff to tempt people keep buying new ones, should think more about sustainability and how to make things environmental friendly. We dont need that much material to make us happy, to have good lifes.
